The count down is on

Well, I am 39 weeks now so I better update the blog since it will most likely be neglected again. No, we will of course try to post pics of our little man as soon as he arrives:) My sweet friends here threw me a baby shower the other day. I think this picture might be my one and only belly shot this pregnancy.
I'm definitely at that swollen/puffy stage. I swear I don't recognize myself. I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring this last month because my finger are swollen. I'm extra special though because at night for what ever reason the swelling and lack of movement in my fingers makes it so hard to bend my fingers in the morning. I swear initially I can not for the life of me make a fist. It is so weird. Overall, I'm feeling pretty good. It's amazing how much more tired I feel at the end here compared to my last pregnancy. Something about chasing around Max all day I think. He is really a great kid and makes us laugh all the time. Here are a few of his adventures the past few months.

He loves to stand at the sink and brush his teeth. And sometimes he likes to brush his hair with his tooth brush too.
More stacking cans but he has significantly increased the height.
Always trying to help around the house. It is so cute how he says hammer, "ammer".
He is saying so many words these days and consistently strings 2-3 words together. Right now my favorite phrase is "too cold". He is a little dramatic about the cold:) I'm actually loving the weather this winter. We have had enough snow to play in twice and I wouldn't mind some more that is until I have a newborn. One day Max and I bundled up and I pulled him around the neighborhood in a toddler sled. He must have been a little warm and relaxed because he fell asleep. Crazy!
Here are some shots of getting used to our snow clothes inside first.
John also had some fun in the snow over the holidays. He got to go snowboarding with his sister Julie up on Mt. Hoood. It was a beautiful day as you can tell.
Some other fun things happened over the holidays
We got our second car, a beautiful Honda Odyssey! We have been debating since we got here about what kind of car to get, how, where, when, etc. I can't believe we have been married 4 1/2 years before jumping into two cars. We love everything about it and I feel so spoiled every time I drive it. Now if we could just find a house with a real double car garage:) We have actually been looking at houses consistently since we moved to Hermiston but we are still searching and saving so a move is months down the road. I think I'll be a little busy the next few months.

And, I'm seriously coveting your sweet new ride. We were married almost 4 years before we got our second car - it was way exciting!

Love you guys, good luck with the house hunt!

Good luck with your delivery! You'll do great--don't worry; it's much easier than the first baby. I'll be stalking your page for new baby photos in the coming weeks :)

WOW! Hot minivan, I love it! I've heard those Odysseys are awesome. I agree with Melissa, your pregnancy has gone by so fast, maybe because I didn't know about it right away! I'm so happy for you. Hope all goes well!
